We are in the last few days of our first 30-day Squats + Pushups = Life is Amazing challenge. We promised you “a gorgeous squat, lots of push-ups, and an amazing life.”
So. Is your squat gorgeous? Do you have lots of push-ups? Is your life amazing?
The Thursday challenge is to do 5 sets of 20 pause squats, squatting as you normally do, but pausing at the bottom of each squat for 1-2 seconds as you ponder these questions. You can do them all at once or spread out through the day, but do think about the gorgeousness of your squat on the first set, the improvements in your push-ups during the second set, and for each of the last 3 sets, something about your life that is truly amazing.

Honestly, all I could think of was ‘I hope the cat’s farts won’t smell as bad as the dog’s’. It did. And then the dog farted too.
But on the bright side the sun is shining for team shine !!!

Done. Someday my nose will touch the ground when I do a pushup. And I’m amazed that exercising (after it is over) really does make me a happier person.

My pondering during my squats were the fact that I could do them with little knee pain tonight! Yeah! Also, no leg or thigh pain, which means I am getting stronger. I actually was able to smile while I did my sets instead of moaning and groaning.

My final motivation was Shondaland. I did my last set of squats, thinking of escapes… of freedom. The earlier ones punctuated my dog walks and writing sessions. And, because I didn’t do them yesterday, I got in my 3 sets of 2 minutes worth of pushups too. Funny how commercials make time for all kinds of productivity 🙂

Done. First set , my squat is deep and it helps that I am close to the ground…lol. My arms are getting stronger but my knees hurt but I am doing push-ups, lots of push-ups.. I have nice arms..kinda getting beefy. I have a good life. I am healing and remembering lots of things that PTSD and life has taken away. I work, live and play with some amazing people some fucking dope-ass people. Today is a good day even at Creating Chains!

Done! Yes, my squat is beautiful as long as I maintain a Thruster form. Lots of push-ups? How bout 50 in 2 minutes. Pretty dope. And my life is amazing and got a whole lot better with the two job offers I got this week. PLUS a long-term production contract 😉 Dopeness all around y’all. Dopeness.
