Sometimes in the middle of a push-up challenge, you need a break from push-ups. Today’s mix includes overhead squats, using a broomstick, rake, chair, jo, dowel rod, piece of PVC pipe, or barbell. If you feel your knees coming way forward, stand 18 inches in front of a chair (far enough you have to reach back with your butt) and squat to the chair. You’ll lack depth, but you’ll save our knees.
As many rounds as possible in 7 minutes of:
15 overhead squats (7 if they’re weighted)
15 mountain climbers each leg
forward roll
15 ninja tuck jumps

Done. Subbed V-ups for the squats and 5 double-decker burpees for the ninja jumps. Only made it through two sets. But, hey–a year ago, I doubt I’d have made it through one. Go, Queerfit! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Anushka–I did my best with them, after watching the vid KL linked…about fifteen times. But if my TV were not one of the old hulkers, I’d have kicked it over at least twice as I attempted it…

Yeah, those forward rolls though—did some kind of fucked up somersault first and almost pulled my hair out on my yoga mat! lol I did SOMETHING like what was in the video. 4 full rounds with about :35 seconds to spare…took that time to breathe! Whew!
