As little as 10 minutes in the sun gets your metabolism up and humming. It’s the mitochondria inside your stem cells stretching their ribosome things towards the cosmic light. Or something like that.
Ok, no idea why it works, but it does, ESPECIALLY if you step out of a meeting to “pick the document off the printer” and run outside instead. Friday’s dare: in the middle of some soul killing task/meeting/email/call, just quit and go outside. Take 10 minutes in the sun before returning. If possible, do this while outside (if not, anytime is ok):
15 squats, then skip for roughly the length of a basketball court, 15 squats, skip back, 15 squats.
Skip with courage, joy, and good high knees.

Interestingly enough Surmai enjoyed the skipping more than the jogging- squats every time he stopped so about 70!

I laughed out loud when I read ‘just quit and go outside’!! LOVE it. I’m actually going to do this more often than just for this daily challenge. 🙂 Done!

Done–w/ 30 mountain climbers instead of squats. Also did knee exercises and 1.25 hours of work on the dossier. Oh, yeah.
And here’s another poem for everyone–Alex Dang
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

This! I was struggling with work today and after rewriting the same paragraph four times, I just said F this and went outside to lie down for 15 minutes. Best therapy ever.
Oh yeah I’ll do the squats & skips later after work! Can’t post though because I’m giving up evening screen time (and liking it??).
