Today (Friday) we come to the end of the first 4 weeks of QF92. You’ve gotten good at squats, push-ups, and coordinating your movements within a 4-7 person group, and wake up every morning looking forward to some sun salutations
Wild applause!
When we move into the 2d phase on Saturday, the heading over the next 4 weeks reads “open-hearted connection.”
Too late to back out now.
The final challenge before we move into this open-hearted connectivity terror:
5 sun salutations in the am, then at anytime:
21 lunges each leg, 1 sun salutation, 15 burpees, 1 sun salutation, 9 push-ups, 1 sun salutation
3 rounds
During each round, identify something amazing about yourself. For your 1 point, let us know in the comments the 3 things.

Done. feeling very grateful for the exercise assignment today.
3 things: 1) I’ll do everything and anything that I can possibly do to fight for justice; 2) If I don’t know how to do something but I want/need to learn it, I will learn it; 3) I am getting to the place where I’m not only motivated by anger, but by love (an elder told me this about 20 years ago and I didn’t really understand it for a long time).

Done–still catching my breath.
Eunice–you put me to shame. But here’re mine:
1) I’m 62 and have only one felony charge in my life.
2) Cards are still out, but I think I’m a good enough mom for Ro & Nik.
3) I’ve never given up or given in on the values of my youth.

Done. About halfway through the first set of lunges, I wasn’t sure I’d make it through–but I did. (Which is why #3 is what is is.)
1) Against all odds, I’ve become so much kinder to myself over the years.
2) I’m open to feeling joy from even small things.
3) I’ve got pretty good stick-to-itiveness
Also, I’m really grateful for these workouts. I feel stronger every day.

1. I’m of the 1.5 generation- in that I have both a sense of belonging and loss.
2. I go out of my way for people.
3. I love with all my heart.
These are all great things. And equally flawed (or perhaps, terrible). And there is so much beauty and pain in that.

Got so caught up in trying to get these in that I forgot about the affirmations! But I think I would share that 1) I truly enjoy doing things for other people 2) I’m so blessed to have a fairly healthy body that can do what I need or to do and 3) despite my years of cynicism, I’m totes in love again. 😉
